I spent most of my childhood holidays in the mid to late 50s and early 60s in Brid. I have begun to include here some pictures from that era and for those, like me, who were fascinated by the Pleasure Boats and Speed Launches sailing from Bridlington Harbour, I hope to add some information about those. I recall particularly Bluebird and Swift which I believe were converted RAF seaplane tenders. I suspect they will have been scrapped some time ago, but if anyone has any information regarding their fate I would very much welcome an e-mail.
